Fourteen-year-old Jake McGreevy is excited about his summer class trip to Ireland, but he has no idea what's in store for him. On his first day there he stumbles across a treasure missing from the Spanish Armada, and he's determined to find the rest of the treasure so he can buy his dad's boat back. Jake teams up with Maggie, the daughter of his host family, Julie, his long-time friend, and Zach, his nemesis and class bully, to follow the clues across the Irish town of Dingle in hopes of recovering the treasure. But danger and thieves seem to be lurking around every corner, can Jake and his friends find the treasure and stay out of trouble? (Ages 9-12)
